On a summer afternoon in July 2019, 32-year-old Joshua James Usry was with his wife and children at his mother-in-law's home in Coosa, a rural area near Rome, Georgia. The family was enjoying time by the pool when Joshua told them he was going for a walk. He left his shoes by the poolside and walked off barefoot, wearing a tank top and shorts. Later, his shirt was discovered on a trail leading into the nearby woods. This was the last confirmed sighting of Joshua Usry.
