Catherine Romer, 77, and her husband, Charles, mysteriously disappeared on April 8, 1980, after checking into a Holiday Inn in Brunswick, Georgia. The couple was traveling from their winter home in Miami, Florida, back to their primary residence in Scarsdale, New York. They arrived at the hotel in their black custom Lincoln Continental around 3:51 p.m. and checked into Room 149, but neither they nor their car were ever seen again.
