In the autumn of 1985, a sense of unease settled over a family in Las Vegas, Nevada, when John Lincoln Porep, a 62-year-old man, vanished without a trace. On November 6th, Porep's sister last saw him as he headed out to deposit some checks on her behalf. She later confirmed that the deposits were successfully made that day, but it was the last time she would ever see or hear from her brother.
