On April 23, 1990, 33-year-old Mitchell Jay Barker was last seen in Dutch Harbor, a port in Unalaska, Alaska. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance suggest a tragic accident. Eyewitnesses reported that Barker was attempting to board a vessel when he fell into the water. He reportedly drifted away from the boat and was last seen sinking beneath the surface.
