Annie Sullivan, an 85-year-old resident of Bessemer, Alabama, was last seen on April 24, 1991. On the day of her disappearance, a friend arrived at her home to take her to a doctor's appointment, only to find troubling signs inside the house. Blood was discovered on two beds, and although there was no indication of a forced entry or struggle, a cigarette was found in the house—strange given that Annie did not smoke.
