Donald Edward Hunter, a 61-year-old man, was last seen on August 11, 1999, in Mojave, California. Earlier that day, Hunter had been arrested for driving under the influence, and his vehicle was impounded. After being released from the sheriff’s substation at around 4:00 p.m., he told authorities that he planned to walk home to Boron, California, which is about 30 miles away. He has not been seen since.
