Gwendolyn Elizabeth Murray-Smith, a 48-year-old African-American woman, was last seen in Lakeland, Florida, sometime around January 1990. Her disappearance has remained a mystery, as very few details about her case have surfaced since. She was described as being 5'2" to 5'3" tall, weighing between 120 and 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Murray-Smith also had pierced ears at the time of her disappearance.
