On the evening of August 30, 2001, 53-year-old Frank Sanchez and his younger brother, Edgar, left Frank's home in Baldwin, New York, and vanished. The two men departed at around 9:15 p.m. in Frank's white 1992 Chevrolet Lumina, with the stated intention of visiting a friend's auto body and repair shop in West Babylon.
