Jason Allen Ashley, a 31-year-old from Vicksburg, Mississippi, was last seen on May 23, 2010, at Pig Willie's, a bar on U.S. 61 North. He called his mother that evening, telling her he would be home soon, but he never arrived. Concern grew when his family reported him missing on May 27, 2010. Nearly three weeks later, on June 11, his gray 2000 Jeep Cherokee was found abandoned off Floweree Road, just three miles from his home in northern Warren County.
The area near where his vehicle was found, including parts of the Mahannah Wildlife Management Area, was extensively searched, but no significant clues were uncovered.
Despite searches by authorities and volunteers on foot, horseback, and using 4-wheelers, Jason’s whereabouts remain a mystery. His family believes that foul play may be involved, especially since he was familiar with the area and likely would have called for help if he had simply gotten stuck.
