Larry David Petersen, 73, a Cottonwood resident who was reported missing since 12:23 p.m. on May 25, was found deceased on Aug. 14.
Petersen’s last known location was on State Route 89A and Cornville Road, leaving the Cottonwood area toward Sedona, driving a white 2007 Ford Explorer. CPD and the Arizona Department of Public Safety issued a silver alert in an attempt to help locate Petersen.
