Aaron Wood, a 43-year-old man from Tobaccoville, North Carolina, was last seen on April 1, 2019. His disappearance led to an extensive investigation by the Winston-Salem Police Department. Initially, the case was treated as a missing person investigation, but it later evolved into a homicide investigation. In July 2021, the police began to suspect foul play and identified Kenneth Evan Cox, a 48-year-old resident of Tobaccoville, as a suspect in the case.
