One such message, received on May 3, stated that she had taken her medication, which her father found unusual as she would not typically announce this. Another suspicious text claimed she had dropped her phone in a bathtub and needed to get a new one. His worry intensified when she failed to call him on his birthday, a yearly tradition she never missed. This ultimately prompted him to report her missing and request a welfare check.
The investigation into Tamara's disappearance took a dark and complex turn. On May 29, 2020, her 2014 Jeep Cherokee was found abandoned, but there was still no sign of Tamara.
