Marilyn Kay Pratt, a 30-year-old mother of five, disappeared from Spokane, Washington, on October 8, 1971. She was last seen at the Flame Lounge, a restaurant and cocktail bar, with her husband and friends. Following an argument with her husband, Marilyn left the table, taking only her handbag. Although her husband initially assumed she had gone to the restroom, it was later discovered that she had visited a nearby bar, where she had a beer, made a phone call, and then left.
