Sonia (Sonja) Kay Redbird, a 19-year-old Native American woman, was last seen on January 1, 1975, in Dallas, Texas. Originally from Anadarko, Oklahoma, Sonia had relocated to Dallas in 1972. She remained in regular contact with her family until 1975, when all communication abruptly stopped. Sonia's family, concerned about her sudden disappearance, later had her legally declared deceased through the Kiowa Tribal Court.
