On the evening of April 29, 1994, a 31-year-old man named Orlandas Cordell Denson, also known to some as Petie, left his mother's home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with plans for the night ahead. It was around 9:00 PM when he departed, dressed in a blue long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes. He was on his way to pick up his fiancée, with whom he intended to go to a club in Del City. Orlandas, a father of four, was reportedly very close with his family and not known to be out of contact with his children for any significant length of time. He was described as being 5'7" and weighing approximately 145 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Concern grew when Orlandas never arrived at his fiancée's house and could not be located. A few days following his disappearance, two of his sisters, accompanied by a preacher, were actively searching for him when they discovered his car in the 4200 block of N. Greenwood, near Spencer, Oklahoma. Residents in the area reported that the vehicle had been parked there for several days. The scene at the car was alarming; the driver's side window was broken, and blood was found inside the vehicle, suggesting a violent encounter. The investigation into Orlandas Denson's disappearance has been a long and challenging one. He was said to have been carrying a significant amount of cash, around $600, which he had been saving for an apartment, and was also wearing new, expensive jewelry on the night he went missing. His mother had even expressed concern about him carrying that much money. Despite the concerning discovery of his vehicle, decades have passed without answers. The case was entered into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) on February 27, 2021. The official circumstances of his disappearance remain noted as last seen leaving his mother's house. The Oklahoma City Police Department is the investigating agency for this long-unresolved case. The overview of this case is one of a loving father who vanished under suspicious circumstances, leaving behind a family desperate for resolution and an abandoned car with physical evidence that unfortunately did not lead to his whereabouts.
