John Walter Simon, a 58-year-old man from Houston, Missouri, was last seen on April 3, 2001. He had been traveling to a medical appointment at the Harry S. Truman Veterans Hospital in Columbia, Missouri, but he never arrived. His white 1998 Lincoln Town Car was found abandoned along the median of US Highway 63 and Highway 163, just south of Columbia. Simon was wearing a blue jean jacket, blue jeans, and black-and-white sneakers when he disappeared.
