In the autumn of 2007, 45-year-old Michael Eric Hansen vanished from Yakima, Washington, leaving behind a mysterious and troubling scene. He was last seen on November 4th of that year. At the time of his disappearance, Michael was described as a Native American male with black hair and brown eyes, standing at 5'7' and weighing around 140 pounds. He wore prescription glasses and had distinct scars on both of his arms, as well as a noticeable limp in his right leg.
When he was last seen, he was reportedly wearing a black, white, and red checkered flannel shirt, blue jeans, and a baseball cap.
Several days after Michael was last seen, a significant discovery was made that only deepened the mystery of his disappearance. The Yakima County Sheriff's Department located his vehicle abandoned near the Yakima River.
