William Scott Stanga, a 52-year-old man, went missing on July 31, 2020, while spearfishing off Paia, Maui. Stanga was last seen snorkeling and spearfishing with his cousin and a friend near Kuau Bay Beach around 5:00 p.m. His companions returned to shore but lost sight of Stanga, who was never seen again. When he did not return, they reported him missing later that evening.
