Licheng Fang, a 38-year-old from Santa Clara County, California, was last seen on the evening of December 17, 2020, in Stock Island, Florida. Fang had been staying at the Stock Island Yacht Club and Marina when he embarked on a late-night kayak trip around 10:00 p.m. He left in a light blue tandem kayak with two white seats, dressed in a white shirt and dark pants, and was last observed heading out into the waters near Key West. His disappearance was quickly reported after he failed to return, sparking an extensive search.
Multiple agencies, including the U.S. Coast Guard and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, were involved in the search. Despite their efforts, which included aerial and water searches, no trace of Fang or his kayak was found. His case remains classified as a "Lost/Injured Missing" person, though no foul play is suspected at this time. Fang, who wore eyeglasses and stood at 5'6" with black hair and black eyes, has not been seen or heard from since that night.
