However, John never made it to his destination and has not been seen or heard from since. At the time he went missing, John was described as being transient, without a cell phone or his own vehicle.
He primarily relied on a bicycle and rides from friends for transportation. John was known to spend time in Burlington, as well as the upriver communities of Hamilton, Concrete, and Marblemount.
John is a white male with brown hair and blue eyes, standing between 5'11' and 6'0' tall and weighing around 180 to 214 pounds. He has a distinctive tattoo of a peace symbol on his forearm. When he was last seen, he was wearing a light-colored flannel shirt, Carhartt jeans that were cut off above the knee, white knee-high socks, and dark brown boots. There was a possible association with a white 1989 Ford Tempo, though it was unverified if he was actually using the vehicle.
The Skagit County Sheriff's Office is handling the investigation into John's disappearance.
