On August 1, 2021, 53-year-old David Edward Dareing departed from a sober living facility on Stockton Drive in Knoxville, Tennessee. He packed his belongings into his white 2005 Land Rover, which had Texas license plates, and was reportedly heading to Richmond, Virginia, to visit his brother.
