Zachary Velazquez Missing Person Case

Zachary Manuel Velazquez, a 30-year-old man from Austin, Texas, was last seen on October 12, 2021, at his residence. His final known communication occurred on October 16, when someone spoke with him, but no one physically saw him after that point. His disappearance took an unusual turn when his vehicle was discovered abandoned over a month later on November 16, 2021, along Highway 101 near Leggett, California, at Mile Post Marker 86.75. The discovery of the car raised concerns, as it was parked in a remote area without any indication of Velazquez’s whereabouts.

A search of the surrounding region, conducted by the Mendocino County Search and Rescue team, did not uncover any signs of Velazquez. Local authorities, including the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office, found no contacts or evidence in nearby hospitals or public safety agencies that could help locate him. Despite efforts to investigate the area around the vehicle, no clues surfaced to explain what might have happened to him after his car was abandoned.

Velazquez was described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with short black hair, a goatee, and brown eyes. His case remains unresolved, and both the Austin Police Department and the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office continue to seek information from the public to assist in solving the mystery of his disappearance.
