Paola Marie Miranda-Rosa, a 31-year-old woman from Osceola County, Florida, was last seen on December 17, 2021, when she visited her family in Orlando. The next day, on December 18, hikers spotted her wading in the Wekiva River at Wekiwa Springs State Park in Apopka, Florida, a location where swimming is prohibited. A video and photographs taken by the hikers were the last known sightings of her. Despite an extensive search involving more than 150 law enforcement officers, drones, boats, and search dogs, no further trace of her has been found.
Paola's car, a black Chevrolet HHR, was found abandoned at the park with her phone and wallet inside. While no signs of foul play have been discovered, concerns are heightened due to her history of mental health issues, including schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Her family remains deeply worried for her safety and has continued to appeal to the public for any information that could lead to finding her. As of now, her whereabouts remain unknown, and authorities continue to follow any new leads in the ongoing investigation.
