Stanley Shayne Bassett, a 29-year-old man from Franklin, New Hampshire, went missing under mysterious circumstances on April 2, 1977. He was last seen with his nine-month-old son, but the next day, the infant was found abandoned in a cardboard box on the steps of the Massachusetts State House. While the child was later identified and reunited with family members, Stanley was never located. Despite extensive efforts by his family and authorities, his whereabouts remain unknown.
