He had a known appreciation for the outdoors, enjoying camping and taking walks in the wooded areas near the Earlham College campus.
Jalen is described as a biracial male, with both Black and White heritage, standing at 5'7" to 5'8" and weighing between 130 and 145 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. Distinguishing features include several tattoos: the sun, moon, and stars on both of his arms, a cross on his hand between his thumb and forefinger, and additional tattoos across his chest. When he was last seen, it is believed he was wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans, sunglasses, and a beanie cap. He was also thought to be wearing either black and white sneakers or black and purple high-top Nike shoes and was carrying a brown backpack. It is also noted that Jalen lives with depression, social anxiety, and paranoid schizophrenia, and may have been in need of medical attention at the time he went missing.
