Yelbi Yamileth Garcia, 39, was last seen at her home on Mary Drive in Snow Hill, North Carolina, around 10:00 p.m. on May 13, 2020. She was reported missing by May 16, and when police investigated, they discovered signs of foul play at her residence. Garcia's husband, Daniel Herrera, was soon arrested and charged with her murder on May 18. Prior to his arrest, Herrera had barricaded himself inside a home in Washington, North Carolina, leading to a standoff with law enforcement.
