Dean Anthony Yelton, a 48-year-old man from Marion, North Carolina, went missing on July 31, 2020. On that day, Yelton was dropped off by a friend near Linville Falls, a popular hiking and camping area in Burke County, North Carolina. He was last seen with camping and hiking equipment, including a chainsaw, a blue tarp, and a distinctive orange-framed hiking backpack. He was planning to camp along NC 105 but has not been seen or heard from since.
