In the winter of 2020, a sense of unease settled over West Plains, Missouri, as two men, known to be roommates, vanished days apart from each other. Limon Landon Little, a 49-year-old male, was last seen on December 15, 2020. His disappearance was followed just two days later by that of his roommate, Ira Briscoe, on December 17. The suspicious timing of their disappearances raised immediate concerns for their welfare and prompted an investigation by the Howell County Sheriff's Office.
Friends and family were left with pressing questions and a void of information as the days turned into weeks, and then years, with no sign of either man.

Through DNA analysis, comparing a profile generated from the remains to a reference sample provided by his sister, one set was positively identified as Limon Little. The other set was confirmed to be Ira Briscoe. The deaths of both men are currently under investigation as a homicide.
