Julio Atayde Gallegos Missing Person Case

Julio Atayde-Gallegos, 36, was last heard from on July 15, 2021, after he contacted his wife from Valentine, Texas. Originally from Durango, Mexico, Julio had been attempting to cross the U.S.-Mexico border. He was part of a group led by human smugglers, or "coyotes," who informed the group that they would not be able to cross at Ojinaga as initially planned. Instead, they would be taken to Lomas de Arena, further northwest, to try another crossing.
