Esmerelda “Kit” Nelson‑Mora was still 16 years old when they disappeared from Omak, Washington. Often referred to by friends and family as “Kit,” they moved to Omak in June 2021 to live with their biological mother and siblings after spending most of childhood in Yakima with their adoptive family.
