In the quiet community of Sterling, Virginia, a family's life was turned upside down on the afternoon of June 20, 2024. Edward Stewart Lane, a 78-year-old man, was last seen at his home in the 19000 block of Youngs Cliff Road. Living with his wife, Mr. Lane, who has dementia, wandered from his residence sometime between 3:00 and 4:15 PM. He left without a wallet or a cell phone, and it is believed he was on foot.
