Kathleen Spanel, a 64-year-old woman from Atlanta, Texas, was last seen on the morning of September 18, 2022. She was reported missing after she walked away from her home located on County Road 3214 around 7:40 a.m. Kathleen, who suffers from hallucinations but is described as nonviolent, left without taking any money, identification, or medication. A Silver Alert was issued the same day to help locate her.
At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a purple shirt, blue jeans, and tennis shoes.
Kathleen is 5'6", weighs around 130 pounds, and has gray and white hair with blue eyes. Authorities believe she may have been walking toward State Highway 77, and extensive searches were conducted in the surrounding areas by the Cass County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Parks and Wildlife personnel. Despite these efforts, no trace of Kathleen has been found, and her case remains unsolved.
