Charles Timm, a 39-year-old crop duster, went missing on February 7, 1980, after departing from the West Palm Beach Airport in Florida. Timm and his colleague, Clarence Hopper, had taken off in a twin-engine Beechcraft airplane they had purchased months earlier. The two men, both residents of South Haven, Michigan, and employed by the Mueller Crop Dusting Service, flew over the Gulf of Mexico and never returned.
