Melanie Pavey, a 19-year-old woman, was last seen on July 1, 1982, when she and her 50-year-old husband, Eugene Pavey, departed from Crandon Marina in Miami, Florida. The couple was traveling on a 27-foot Cigarette speedboat en route to Abaco Island in the Bahamas. The boat, navy blue with white stripes and powered by twin Mercury engines, has never been found, and the couple failed to arrive at their destination.
