Laura Ann Bradbury, a 3-year-old girl, disappeared on October 18, 1984, during a family camping trip at the Indian Cove Campground in Joshua Tree National Park, California. Laura had accompanied her 8-year-old brother to the portable restrooms but was left outside while he used the facilities. When he came back out, she was gone. Despite a massive search effort involving over 250 people, helicopters, and search dogs, no trace of Laura was initially found.
