Ronald Gomes, 55, was last seen on October 8, 1989, at his residence in Los Angeles, California. He was living in a board-and-care facility at the time and did not return after leaving that day. Gomes had a cognitive disability, functioning at the mental level of a 10 to 12-year-old, and also suffered from speech problems. He is described as a Hispanic male, standing 5'9" and weighing 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has a distinctive eight-inch scar on his abdomen.
