In the cold of a Toronto winter, on the morning of February 17, 1975, 64-year-old Stella Zayats left her home for her customary daily walk. Her husband saw her leave at 9:00 AM, a routine part of their day. Stella was a woman of medium to heavy build, standing around 5'6" tall with short, graying hair and blue or grey eyes.
