In the late summer of 2005, a young mother named Cynthia Sunga vanished from her Ottawa, Ontario home, leaving behind a life that included a three-year-old daughter and a job at a local record store. The 29-year-old female was last seen on or about August 25, 2005, at her residence on Donald Street.
