Perry was a First Nations male with dark brown hair and brown eyes, standing between five feet eleven inches and six feet two inches tall, with a slender to medium build. The last time anyone saw him, he was reportedly planning to walk to the Francois Lake ferry, with the intention of staying overnight in Burns Lake before hitchhiking the rest of the way home to Hagwilget Village.
The days following December 26th turned into an agonizing wait for Perry's family as there was no word from him. This silence was deeply concerning because it was completely out of character for Perry, who was known for consistently keeping in touch with his family, either by text message or through updates on his Facebook page.
