In the spring of 2000, a man named Michel Satel, 50 years old at the time, vanished from the province of Quebec. He was last seen on May 8, 2000, in the region of Saint-Jérôme. A resident of the Laurentians, Michel was also a familiar face in Montreal and was known to travel frequently to the maritime provinces of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
