Cecilia Nikal arrived in Vancouver to visit her mother on August 1, 1989; she then left her mother's house to live on the streets. She was last seen by her mother in October of 1989. A report by a family member that Ms. Nikal had subsequently moved to Vancouver Island was never confirmed.
