John Richard Creech, 40 years old at the time, went missing in early April 2009 from his home near Meridian, Texas. He was last in contact with his family around that time, and shortly after, his 1988 blue Chevrolet pickup truck was found abandoned in a Walmart parking lot in Hillsboro, Texas. Despite extensive search efforts, little information has surfaced about the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.
