Martin Maier was last seen on May 4, 1973, leaving the local hotel in Prelate, Saskatchewan at approximately 1:00 a.m. He was driving a red 1971 Chevrolet half-ton pick-up Saskatchewan license F133013 with a white camper on the cargo box. Extensive searches have been conducted, however neither Martin or his vehicle have been located.
