Nancy Liou was last seen at home on January 27, 1999. On January 28, her father contacted Nancy's school to see if she was there, and was advised they had no way of knowing if she was in attendance as it was exam time. Her father contacted police that evening when she failed to return home from school. She had advised a family member she was leaving but never said where she was headed.
