In the late winter of 1969, a young Indigenous woman named Mabel Veronica Bernita Leo vanished, leaving behind a mystery that has endured for decades. On March 1st of that year, the 18-year-old was at a party in the scenic area of Nairn Falls, near Pemberton, British Columbia. At some point during the evening, Mabel was seen leaving the gathering.
