On August 21, 1983, three men were carrying out repairs to a dock at a cottage on Island 92, Lake Nipissing, when they heard a male voice shouting "Help" three times approximately five seconds apart. All three witnesses observed a boat turning in circles. Two of the men ran to their boat and went to the out-of-control boat. The boat was found to be unattended.
