Dr. Stanley Kemp left his residence in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, on May 19, 1960, to go fishing. On May 20, 1960, he failed to return home and was reported missing. On May 21, 1960, his vehicle was found parked at Finlayson Lake, McLaren Township, District of Nipissing, Ontario. His canoe and personal belongings were located on the lake.
