On a spring evening, seven-year-old Cheryl Hanson vanished while on a short walk to her cousin's house in Aurora, Ontario. It was May 31, 1974, and Cheryl left her home on Bloomington Road around 6:30 p.m. for what should have been a ten-minute journey. She was dressed in a red coat worn over a dark brown checked sweater and matching pants, with white leather shoes.
