Jonas Haineault was a 68-year-old man reported missing from Anzac, Alberta, after he disappeared on August 15, 1977. In the period leading up to his disappearance, Haineault had been visiting members of his family in Lymburn, Alberta, a small community in the western part of the province. His known journey then took him to nearby Hythe, where he boarded a bus bound for Edmonton.
