In early 2019, a 25-year-old man named Kristofer Shawn Couture, who had recently relocated from Edmonton to British Columbia for a construction job, vanished, leaving behind a series of perplexing clues. He had moved to the Lower Mainland, drawn by the milder weather and job opportunities. On January 25, 2019, Kristofer went to his new job in Maple Ridge and later visited a Good Life Fitness gym in Burnaby.
